Just a quick update to say that I am slowly working through the back log of photos I have and uploading them. Its taking me a lot, lot longer than I anticipated it would in the beginning. I doubt really there is anyone out there waiting with baited breath, since the photos are mostly of me and my friends doing silly things around the north of England. I do have some fun pictures of Bailrigg FM before we moved however, they’re mine so I’m hosting them here, even if they are mirrored on the Bailrigg FM site too! I’m Still only half way through 2005, as hard as that may be to believe given the number of albums there are in there. It was a big year for me photography wise and I haven’t yet reached July where I got my shiny Canon S2IS. More to follow.

Its been a while since I updated here but a lot has been going on. I have continued to slowly sort out the gallery here as I said I would way back when. I’ve uploaded the archive from a selection of years. I keep meaning to do more but the uploading takes quite a while. I should do it when I’m at the university some time!

Anyway my real reason for posting; my parents and I went on a nice trip to Milnthorpe, and surrounding area. We actually ended up in Grange-Over-Sands for a nice meal in a lovely coffee shop overlooking the bay. I saw a pair of RAF Tornados too, but no photographs. We came back through Arnside, and then Milnthorpe, through a piece of land belonging to a stately home Dallam Tower.

The grounds were *full* of deer, and I mean full. I have never seen so many. They were really cute, young deer bouncing about drinking from the river. I got some pictures but they aren’t fantastic, the light was terrible and I was having an attack of the shakes and no tripod. Still I got some pictures and the deer are lovely so I thought I would share.

I thought I’d better post something here about the new albums that are going to be appearing in the gallery soon. I had a think about what I wanted from my gallery and I decided, to hell with only putting good photos up, I want somewhere to put all my photos. I still want to in some way separate off the ones I consider to be the best and I haven’t quite decided the most appropriate way of doing that yet. For now though, if there is anyone out there who bothers to keep an eye on this blog, there will be some albums appearing in a new section called Archive which will be organised by year and event or shoot. Most of the first ones to go up will probably be appalling photography as they come from before I owned a digital camera, but they’re good memories so they deserve a place.

As I upload, if I find any I think deserve a special mention I’ll post an entry here, other than that entries here will be restricted to new photos I have taken. Especially since I’ve just bought myself a brand new Canon 400D !! Photography ahoy! I’m still learning how to drive it yet but so far its wonderful.

On top of all this change, I’ve created myself a Flickr account for putting up a selection of my pictures – just so more people have the possibility of seeing them really. I really like the Flickr way or organising photos, but I like the control of hosting my own gallery, I thought this way I could take advantage of both worlds. It’s fun anyway! My Flickr page can be viewed here but as I write this it’s still pending review. Hopefully that shouldn’t take too long.
